Some people deserve great cakes

One of these people is my colleague. I have already told you how much I love my team at the library, but I’ll happily tell you again.

Last week my colleague J had a birthday and I decided to make a cake. I wanted to make a great cake, because J is such a great person. She is always full of positive energy and encouraging words. I laugh a lot with her. She is one of those people who makes everyone around her happy.

So for her birthday I wanted to make something special.

I ended up with a chocolate cake with a raspberry layer and a coffee cream layer, which I topped with white chocolate and my very own raspberry jelly stars. Because J is a star.

I love my job

I work at the new Waurn Ponds library and I really enjoy my work. Every day I get to talk to people about their favourite books, movies and music and help them find whatever they are looking for. It is very rewarding.

My team at work is fantastic. We are Team Awesome. I am Pocket Rocket. Today Troy the Invincible drew me a picture because I was feeling a bit flat and had lost my rocket.
