There is something about Paris. As a writer, chef and hopeless romantic I just want to pack up my things and go live there. Now.
I’m reading a book called ‘Lunch in Paris’ at the moment. It is a love story about an American girl who marries a French man and moves to Paris to write and cook. A couple of recipes follow each chapter. Beautiful stories about food, love and finding yourself in a new country. It offers such interesting perspectives on culture differences and relationship, and I can relate to so much of it.
And then there is Paris. Again I am finding myself falling for this beautiful city. My heart has gone on the plane and landed in Paris without me. It begs me to come after.
I was lying on my bed reading the book and getting lost in the idea of living in Paris. Sean was reading his book next to me. I turned towards him.
‘I want to move to Paris’
‘Sure, I’d love to live in Europe. And it’ll be close to your parents too.’
Oh Sean, how I love you.
